Bittersweet

So we've been on 3 dates so far and things been going well.  The conversation is flowing, the ambiance is nice, and it's not the cliche spots.  Well actually lunch, happy hour, then dinner.  That's new to me.  Anyways so like they say by the 3rd date you at least know what's up right?  Why is it after the 3rd date that's when they disappear.  The phone calls slowly down to once a week and that's to confirm plans and then the texts start to die down to how's your week going.  How about how's your day, like you been doing for the past 2 weeks.  What the heck!  It's like when that ride of waves come your way you are soring through the skies but when it goes down, it goes crashing down, and you're looking all around you, where did he go?  Where the heck did he go, is he waiting for me to make the moves because I thought I was clear I'm interested.  I laughed at his lame jokes, I listen to his mundane stories.  Is he waiting for me to make the move?  I guess not because he should be pursuing me.  But he has been pursuing and what I'm confused on is that he stopped.  Oh wait I got it, of course he stopped because he's waiting for me to open the door.  The door to my bedroom.  Ugh he's so lame.  I'm done now.  I can't keep going through these 3rd date rituals only to be abandoned either way.  I guess I have to keep it moving until someone wants to tell me what will happen by the 4th date what's going on.  Live in the moment my ass.  So all I have to say is those past 3 weeks been groovy, that's all I can claim huh.  Whatever it's bittersweet all over and over again.
